PERFECT Norn Champion [W/N]
I haven't lost ONCE with this build, and I believe I have fought everyone, including Mhenlo. I hope this hasn't been posted already.
12 strength
9 swordsmanship
13 tactics
[This is what I use, but it might not be the most efficient.]
[skill]Riposte[/skill][skill]Deadly Riposte[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill][skill]Distracting Blow[/skill][skill]Grenth's Balance[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]"Finish Him!"[/skill]
You don't need a high norn title. It's a really easy build to use. Spam ripose/deadly riposte until they are below half, then use "Finish Him!". If that doesn't force a win, use Final Thrust. Use GB if the enemy is outpowering you [most case in any fight against a non-meleer] Interrupt any healing skills you find necessary. Any questions?

I have sever artery and gash instead of final thrust and finish him. Mostly for those that don't hit with melee I can still put some degen on them.

GB riposter build is open ended. Different crap works for different people, but the idea is popular.

Anyone know if spamming spirits inside gate then using summon spirits works?

I'm assuming you haven't done it multiple times and lost atleast once.

It's popular because it works. I'd tried a few W/Mo builds on my warrior last week, but couldn't reliably kill all the casters or Bison. Tried this one just now using the Sever/Gash variant and won on the first try - Zehtuka, Xandra, Zho (journal, yay!), Eve, and Argo, with the last two being two of the ones I couldn't beat before.

auspicious parry
riposite
deadly riposite
plague touch
healing signet
vampiric touch - fixed on 56 hp stealing ^^
final thrust
savage slash
I've been using this 1 and only thing to kill me was a spirit spammer.
Same idea, but a little different usage

How about replacing distracting blow with disarm?

Just cast the spirits on the line after the gate and when the gate closes, the spirits are still past the gate and able to hit the opponent.

Disarm doesn't interrupt HB, Troll Unguent, Apply Poison, Blessed Signet, et cetera. Also, two extra seconds of downtime.

I believe Disarm is bugged so it interrupts too?
I ran Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Distracting Blow, Sever, Gash, S+M, Heal sig, Grenth's Balance, farmed my 5 tokens without dying once (Balance > Bison, just use it on recharge, it will heal you to full each time)
Use your l33t skillz to interrupt Signet of Midnight and Wastrel's Worry like me

Wow you are a stud for posting an ancient build that most with experience were likely using already, and then qualifying it with... "I hope someone didn't already post this." Sheer genius...........Kudos

Oh, thanks for the flame, but I know atleast ONE person who read this is thankful for a sturdy build for the NORN TOURNAMENT which I should mention is new. A lot of people have complained it's too tough or they can't win unless they got lucky. This should help the ones in that group who have warriors. I never said I invented the build.
And Cherng Butter, Dis Blow has the same recharge as Blessed Signet, and that's two seconds lower than Disarm.

I'd say the GB build is the second most reliable one, but the most enjoyable one to play that still has a good chance of winning. It won't always win though, if you get some of the low damage opponents like argo or mhenlo in the arena at the same time as you get some monks in the crowd you'll end up with stalemates due to the heal other spam on both you (nullfying GB) and your opponent (nullifying final and finish).
The only build I'm aware of that will kill every oppent regardless of whether there is monks in the crowd is the spirit spammer (and even then razzah can dicey) and the downside there is that it is dull as dishwater to play.

Yes that works. It takes some build tweaking but I have gotten it to work right on my monk. Don't forget Painful Bond.
Bison can be an issue if Shadowsong isn't the last spirit made. Danika can be an issue if you don't get rid of her "minions".
Mo/Rt (Rit primary would be better but secondary works) Channelling and Communing. http://gw.gamependium.com/tools/builds/template/

Would be nice if there was a reason to make use of the build for more than an ugly crown and 500g ale! I don't know if 500g ale is considered decent, but I don't care for it.

This is not the best build to use in the tournament, though it does work. Also, not everyone plays a warrior. I fail to see why this commanded its own thread, when there is another thread (long one, too) on different builds for beating the tourney.
For a quick build that works on any enemies and with any class, and is a guaranteed win - the Rit spirit spammer build still works wonders. Only difference is you now need to cast them right at the door, before the opponent charges.
